INFOCOM LTD has implemented an automated control system (ACS) for the meal granulation department and new transport equipment for the oil extraction plant in eastern Ukraine.
Meat granulation department is designed to obtain granules from recycled meal for easier further transportation. The main task is to control the operation of granulation equipment in semi-automatic and automatic modes, technological interlocks.
INFOCOM LTD specialists performed pre-design works, developed and finalized software (PLC, HMI), prepared design and operational documentation, performed electrical installation and commissioning works.
The following automation technologies were used at the oil extraction plant:
- Siemens SIMATIC S7-400 programmable controller
- PROFIBUS, ETHERNET data transfer protocol
The intelligent core of the ACS of the oil extraction meal granulation department of the oil extraction plant is built on the basis of the SIMATIC S7-400 controller and distributed I / O stations connected to the network according to the PROFIBUS protocol.
The programmable controller SIMATIC S7-400 is designed to build automatic control systems with high reliability.
The presence of a redundant structure allows you to continue working in case of one or more failures in its components. Such systems manage industries whose downtime causes great economic losses.
