Infocom LTD implemented a system for accounting and tracking the components of the 5th packaging line of coffee mixes at a coffee production plant in Trostyanets, Sumy region.
The software package is designed to control, monitor and manage automated control systems, trace components at the production line of coffee mixes of the plant.
INFOCOM LTD specialists performed pre-project work, developed software, designed and manufactured equipment, performed installation and commissioning.
RFID tags were installed on 5 tots (containers for mixtures). The line is equipped with radio frequency identification systems (RFID).
Before starting production, the operator enters into the PC information about the products produced on each of the production lines (it is possible to enter new products). When the mixture is unloaded, the system assigns the name of the mixture that was made on this mixer to that (containers for mixtures) and fixes the time the mixture was made.
When installed on the line, the system compares the information recorded on the tot label with information about the currently produced product and, in case of data discrepancy, does not allow connecting the container (tot) to the line (the neck fails to connect to tot, the error is accompanied by a light signaling). There is also a manual mode with limited access.
The automated control system for tracking components on the coffee mix line section has a log (with the possibility of uploading data), which records information about the mixture being produced:
- the name of the mixture,
- planned and actual dosage of each of the components (information from the mixer controller),
- mixture unloading time,
- number of the line on which the container was installed
- time of installation of the tank on the line.
The following automation technologies were used in the coffee production plant:
- Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 programmable controller
- PROFINET RS-485 communication protocol
The implemented automated control system for tracking the components of the coffee mix line allows to:
- Prevent out-of-formulation product from being released
- Avoid manufacturing defective products
