INFOCOM LTD has completed a project of implementation a system for diagrams recognition of secondary self-written gas metering devices and transmitting data for automatic #balance_calculation for each type of enterprise resource by the DATP department.
The complexity of the work of ArcelorMittal employees before the implementation of the software complex was that for each day it was necessary to manually process more than 500 paper diagrams of self-written devices and manually enter the readings on the devices into various software systems responsible for their type of resources. The complexity of the process did not exclude the human factor and the presence of errors when entering data into separate accounting systems.
The software engineers of INFOCOM LTD carried out the following work to unify the software of the DATP department, reduce labor costs and speed up the data processing process:
- The software has been developed for diagrams recognition of secondary self-written gas consumption meters with obtaining the planimetric number. The system uses neural networks and algorithms for recognition.
- A unified software package was developed for collecting data from the separate metering devices and calculating the gas flow rate while transferring data in a database. The complex replaced previously used disparate software systems for each type of gas
- A system for the integration between recognition system and the software complex has been developed for calculating the flow rate and forming the balance of heat and energy resources by transferring the obtained planimetric number.
- Forms for reports of balances of heat and energy resources daily/monthly have been developed.
Advantages of a unified balance recognition and calculation system:
- Reduced personnel time spent on processing diagrams, reduced the number of personnel for data processing.
- A possibility obtained to work with reports / balances for each type of gas in a single system.
- Improved data processing accuracy.
