Automatic dosing system for crop treatment

This system is fully automated and integrated into the automation process control system of the elevator. Receiving data from the elevator on the volume of crops processed per hour, the system automatically determines the required number of liters of insecticide for treatment. The proposed automatic dosing system for crop treatment allows you to implement the task of accurate dosing of insecticides in the fight against pests of grain stocks in granaries and elevators.

When using insecticides, 2-component nozzles are used to obtain fine particles of the drug from 2 to 20 microns in accordance with the specified air pressure and drug consumption. The pressure in the line with the drug is provided by a dosing pump.
The station for applying insecticide is physically and functionally divided into 2 boxes and one container with insecticide.

The first Dosing Box contains:
– unit for preparation of supply compressed air;
– water inlet unit, with a station for increasing and normalizing water pressure;
– node for injection and dosed supply of insecticide;
– pressure sensors of supply lines.

The second box – PLC Box -contains:
– control controller Simatic S7 1200;
– control Panel;
– elements of power supply, switching and protection of power consumption.

The whole process of processing various crops is fully automated, the participation of maintenance personnel is minimal, and is reduced to periodic cleaning of the nozzles and maintaining the working level of the drug in the container with the insecticide.
